The City of Wamego is transitioning to a new software system, and we’re excited for the improved security, streamlined features, and overall ease of use it will bring to our customers. While this upgrade will ultimately make things smoother for everyone, we will have a few things that we must do along the way, and we appreciate your patience as we make this important move.

Beginning November 24 through the rest of 2025, the City of Wamego will stop accepting electronic payments (online or by card) and all access and functions of our current software will be turned off. This means that autopay will not process starting in December and that all costumers will be receiving their monthly bill in the mail. Autopay will not be an option until costumers sign up for the new software in 2026.

Starting after the new year, all customers will have the option to create an account in our new online system. Once the system is live, we’ll send out clear step-by-step instructions, and our staff will be ready in the office to assist anyone who needs help getting set up. We’ll continue to share updates as more information becomes available.

Starting November 24th and through the remainder of 2025 the City of Wamego will no longer be able to accept Cards or Online Payments, including autopay. As we are working on transitioning to a new software system we will only be taking CASH and CHECKS.

City Hall is open Monday-Friday from 8AM-4:30PM. Business hours may be different for holidays. Our Drop Box, located on the North side of the building will be open at all times during this process. Envelopes with payments should either be marked with the customer’s name and address or include the customer’s bill.
