Airport

The City owns and maintains a small general aviation airport, reached by taking either U.S. Highway 24 or Military Trail Rd. east for two miles to Airport Rd., then south ½ mile.

The Airport has one asphalt runway, oriented north/south, having a length of 3,184 feet and a width of 45 feet, rated for visual approach only. The runway has low intensity, pilot activated lighting, and there is also a rotating beacon. Six tie-down spaces are available. Contact the City office regarding availability of hangar space.

The Airport is managed and maintained by the Wamego Airport Board, which is appointed by the Wamego City Commission.
