FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Governing Body of the City of Wamego, Kansas will conduct a Public Hearing at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, September 6th, 2022, in the City Commission room at the Wamego City Office, 430 Lincoln Ave., Wamego, Kansas. The purpose of the Hearing is to consider an ordinance adopting new Flood Insurance Rate Maps and a new Flood Insurance Study, prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, to become effective November 17th, 2022, and to amend the City of Wamego Floodplain Management Ordinance Edition of 2021 (adopted by Ordinance 1759, dated September 21, 2021) to reference the new maps.
