PARK
The Wamego City 12 acre Park, located one block east of downtown features
the Municipal Swimming Pool, tennis courts, shelterhouse,playground equipment, duck pond,
the Wamego Museum and several historic buildings, including the Old Dutch Mill. The Park
is the focus of activity during the week of July 4th, with a carnival, fireworks show and
other events. The City is also developing Pennyland Park, just east of the Cemetery, and
Mansfield Park, on 18th St. as neighborhood parks. Riverfront Park provides much needed
public access to the Kansas River, just west of the K-99 bridge. Map
