Animal Control

The Wamego City Pound is operated by the Pottawatomie County Caring Hearts Humane Society, a non-profit, volunteer organization. The shelter is on the eastern outskirts of Wamego, in the same location as the Waste Water Plant on Valley Street.

The Wamego Police Department has one animal control officer. For nuisance animals, please call:
